Marwa Zahr
Implementation and Practitioner Lead — Can’t Wait to Learn, War Child Alliance
Marwa Zahr has first-hand experience of many different aspects of the education ecosystem: teaching, counseling, teacher professional development, and program management.
She’s also worked as a consultant with organizations including the Tunisian Ministry of Family, Women, and Childhood, IOCC, Merath, and Riyadah Summit for Human Development in Iraq. Marwa’s developed and delivered training and progressional development sessions on diverse education and counseling topics. And she headed the Emergency Response department at War Child Lebanon, overseeing all projections commissioned in response to the devastating 2020 Beirut port explosion.
Now also training as a clinical psychologist, Marwa brings this wealth of experience and her holistic approach to her work with War Child Alliance. Her goal is to foster a sense of ownership among teachers, partners and communities who support children using ‘Can’t Wait to Learn’. With the games development team, she works with communities to co-create content for the personalized digital learning intervention, as well as helping teachers, ministry officials, and local partners own, adapt, and use ‘Can’t Wait to Learn’ effectively.
